Hugo was awakened by a soft creaking, but he lay motionless in his bed. Right next to him a strange figure crouched and rummaged in Hugo’s equipment. In the dim light of the room lighting, Hugo could see the flash of a knife that the stranger had wedged between his teeth. Hugo didn’t have a weapon at hand, so he got up in a flash, took the chamber pot from the nearby stool and smashed it with full force on the thief’s skull…
